I am Dr. Mohammad Omer Faruck, a scientist and Instrument Chemist with a background in medicinal chemistry, biotechnology, microbiology, vaccine research, and analytical laboratory science. I have research and professional experience across Australia, Malaysia, and Bangladesh, including The University of Queensland (UQ) and International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). Alongside my professional and academic career, I have been actively involved in social and community work, including through SCMB at UQ, IIUM, Malaysia, and at the undergraduate/graduation level. I value community engagement, teamwork, leadership, and contributing positively to society. I am passionate about science, education, community service, and creating opportunities that bring people together. My goal is to continue contributing through both my professional expertise and community involvement.
Rahim Emroze Khan
Rahim Emroze Khan is an experienced professional based in Brisbane, Australia, with a background in electrical and electronic engineering, business administration, and railway signalling. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Adelaide and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Queensland. He currently works with Queensland Rail as a Signalling Project Coordinator, contributing to the coordination and delivery of railway signalling projects. Rahim has lived in Australia for more than 20 years, including the past 16 years in Brisbane. Over the years, he has developed strong connections with the local community and takes an active interest in supporting and contributing to community activities. Outside of his professional life, Rahim enjoys travelling, music, and working for the community. He values family and community connections and is married to Dr Sharmin Hasan. They have a child, Amanah Emroze Khan. With a combination of engineering expertise, business education, professional experience, and a strong commitment to community, Rahim continues to build his life and career in Brisbane while maintaining a passion for helping others and staying connected with the wider community.

S M Mehedi Hasan is an IT Support Specialist and creative media strategist serving as the Media & Communication Secretary (2026–2027) for the Bangladesh Association in Brisbane. Professionally, Mehedi brings over eight years of enterprise experience in IT systems, cloud administration, and network support across Brisbane.He holds a Master of Media and Communication (University of Malaya), a Master of Business Administration (MBA) IBA,Rajshahi University , and holds qualifications in IT and Cybersecurity from TAFE Queensland. This unique blend of technical expertise, media literacy, and business acumen drives his passion for community engagement. Beyond his professional life, Mehedi is a cultural enthusiast who enjoys filmmaking, documentary production, photography, and traveling. In his role, he is committed to building a strong digital presence, showcasing Bangladeshi culture, and keeping the diaspora connected across Brisbane.
